A chilling CCTV video captured the exact moment of the explosion that killed at least 13 people and injured 21 others near the historic Red Fort in Old Delhi on Monday evening. The blast occurred in a slow-moving car near the Red Fort metro station. According to officials, the explosion was so intense that it shattered windows and caused nearby buildings to tremble. Eyewitnesses described the moment as 'horrifying.' A Hyundai i20 car is believed to be the source of the deadly explosion. Investigators revealed that the car was parked near the Red Fort for nearly two hours before it exploded while moving slowly on Netaji Subhash Marg. The CCTV footage, shared by news agency ANI, shows a bright yellow-orange blast light in the top right corner. Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha said that a slow-moving vehicle stopped at a red light near Red Fort minutes before the blast. Investigations have revealed that the car, with three occupants, was seen heading from Daryaganj Market towards the Sunehri Masjid parking lot beside the Red Fort around 4 pm. It then took a U-turn near Old Delhi Railway Station and proceeded towards Lower Subhash Marg before exploding. The car, with a Haryana registration number, had changed hands several times in recent weeks. Authorities are also looking into reports of a severely damaged Maruti Eeco van near the i20 at the time of the blast. As a result of the incident, the historic Red Fort has been closed to visitors for the next three days, and the Lal Qila Metro Station has been closed for security reasons. Heavy security arrangements are in place across the national capital as authorities investigate the incident from all angles.
