A devastating blast near India's Red Fort in New Delhi has claimed 12 lives, leaving families shattered. Among the victims are a young cosmetics shop owner, Nauman Ansari, 18, from Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district, who was the sole breadwinner of his family. His cousin, Aman, sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at a local hospital. DTC conductor Ashok Kumar, 34, from Amroha district, and 22-year-old Pankaj Sahini, a taxi driver from Uttar Pradesh, have also been identified among the deceased. Sahini's relatives described the traumatic scene, saying his taxi was completely damaged and his head was severely injured. According to Delhi Police, three more people succumbed to their injuries on Tuesday, taking the death toll to 12. Over 20 others were injured in the blast. A case has been registered under the Unlawful Activities Act and the Explosives Act, and multiple raids are being conducted by Delhi Police as part of the ongoing investigation. The national capital has been placed on high alert, with enhanced security at airports, railway stations, and bus terminals. Security agencies and the police in Uttar Pradesh have stepped up vigilance across the state in view of the blast in the national capital. The families of the victims are struggling to come to terms with the loss, with Nauman's family making arrangements to bring his body back for burial. The incident has sent shockwaves across the nation, with people demanding justice and security.
