As the National Investigation Agency (NIA) delves deeper into the Red Fort blast on November 10, officials have identified Dr Umar Nabi, a physician from Pulwama, as the "suicide bomber" behind the attack. Nabi was driving an explosive-laden Hyundai i20 when the blast occurred. According to the NIA, two key aides, Amir Rashid Ali and Jasir Bilal Wani, played crucial roles in the conspiracy. Amir Rashid Ali, a resident of Pampore in South Kashmir, allegedly provided logistical support to Nabi and arranged a safe house for him in the days leading up to the attack. The NIA has also accused Ali of being the registered owner of the vehicle used in the blast. Jasir Bilal Wani, alias Danish, was arrested in Srinagar for providing technical support to the bombers. The NIA has revealed that Wani was involved in modifying drones and attempting to make rockets ahead of the blast. He was an active co-conspirator in the Red Fort blast case and was an aide to the terrorist, Umar Nabi. The NIA has sought 10 days of custodial interrogation of Amir Rashid Ali to uncover the full conspiracy. The agency also plans to take Ali to Kashmir for further investigation. The Red Fort blast was intended to instil fear, cause panic, and threaten the country's sovereignty and unity. The investigation is ongoing, and the NIA is working to unravel the network behind the deadly attack.
