A senior official revealed that Dr. Umar Nabi, the alleged driver behind the Red Fort explosion that killed 12 people, had visited a mosque near Ram Leela Maidan before the blast. Nabi had parked his car at the Sunehri Masjid parking lot for nearly three hours, during which he allegedly offered namaz. The police are probing the motive behind Nabi's lengthy stay at the mosque, with one officer speculating that it may be linked to a suspected fidayeen attack. Investigators are also analyzing Nabi's activities during his three-hour halt at the parking lot, including his alleged tracking of updates on those arrested in the Faridabad module and possible communication with handlers using a signal phone. Forensic experts are examining over 40 samples collected from the blast site, including vehicle remains, metal debris, and body parts, to identify the nature of explosives used. The police have also sounded an alert across Delhi to trace a red Ford EcoSport car suspected to be linked to the blast, following the discovery that other suspects were in possession of a similar vehicle. The Delhi Police has invoked Sections of the Unlawful Activities Act in the FIR, calling the explosion a 'bomb blast.' Initial reports suggested three people were in the car during the blast, but it's now confirmed that only Nabi was driving when the explosion occurred. He had left the parking lot and proceeded towards the Red Fort before taking a U-turn and detonating the explosives near the Red Fort police post.
