A joint investigation by the NIA and Jammu & Kashmir Police has put Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad under intense scrutiny. The college has emerged as a common link in the Red Fort blast case that killed 10 people earlier this week. Four doctors associated with the college - Dr. Umar Un-Nabi, Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganaei, Dr. Shaheen Shahid, and Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan - are being questioned for alleged connections to the terror module behind the attack. Investigations have revealed that Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan, who was dismissed in 2022 by the Jammu and Kashmir administration, was reportedly employed by Al-Falah Medical College. His dismissal order accused him of using the Doctors Association of Kashmir to spread secessionist propaganda under Pakistani patronage. The police have discovered that Hassan found refuge at the college under a new identity, raising questions about the institution's recruitment process. Al-Falah University Vice Chancellor Bhupinder Kaur has denied any connection to the doctors arrested in connection with the terror module, stating that they only worked at the college in their official capacity. However, investigators believe that the university's claims are not convincing, given that four doctors from the same campus are connected to a terror network. As the investigation deepens, officers are calling for a full audit of private universities employing personnel from sensitive regions without adequate background checks. “Institutions of learning cannot become shelters for those plotting against the nation,” said a senior Jammu and Kashmir Police officer. The National Medical Commission (NMC) is monitoring the investigation and will take appropriate action once the findings are received. Meanwhile, the university's website has been accused of falsely claiming accreditation status, with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) issuing a show-cause notice. The university has been directed to remove all false accreditation claims and respond to the notice within seven days. The probe has sent shockwaves among students and faculty at Al-Falah Medical College, with many expressing fear and confusion. The college administration has increased security on campus, and the Madhya Pradesh police are looking into the antecedents of Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, the founder of Al-Falah.
