New Delhi: A massive manhunt is underway by security agencies to track down two alleged terror modules linked to Monday's car blast near Red Fort in New Delhi. According to officials, the two modules may have been tasked with carrying out blasts, but it's unclear if they are still in possession of explosives. The investigation into the blast, which killed 10 people, has been taken over by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in collaboration with the Delhi Police. Authorities have arrested at least two individuals from the alleged group in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana, and recovered nearly 3,000 kg of explosive substances. Multiple agencies are conducting raids across Delhi-NCR and several states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, to apprehend those associated with the alleged terror group, believed to be linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The group, which had been planning pan-India terror strikes for nearly a year, had procured hundreds of kilograms of ammonium nitrate and other explosive substances. While the exact whereabouts of the absconding members of the two modules are unknown, officials are working to gather more information and make arrests to further progress the investigation. The probe is aimed at busting the entire network and identifying the masterminds behind the blast. The explosion occurred on Monday evening, causing widespread damage and injuring many. The first call to the Delhi Fire Department was made at 6.55 pm, and the fire was doused at 7.29 pm. The victims were rushed to Lok Nayak Hospital, where they received medical attention. The investigation is ongoing, and officials are working to bring those responsible for the blast to justice.
