A disturbing video has emerged online, featuring Dr. Umar Un Nabi, the individual believed to have driven the car that exploded near the Red Fort in India, killing over 10 people. The footage, reportedly recorded before November 10, shows Nabi discussing his views on 'suicide bombings,' which he claims are often misinterpreted. According to Nabi, the term 'suicide bombing' is a 'martyrdom operation' where an individual willingly puts themselves in harm's way, expecting to die in a specific situation. However, this concept has been met with numerous contradictions and objections. The video comes on the heels of another alleged co-conspirator's arrest by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday. Jasir Bilal Wani was reportedly 'brainwashed' by Nabi and had been working with him for over a year to plan coordinated attacks across India. In a significant development, the NIA referred to Nabi as a 'suicide bomber' for the first time while announcing Wani's arrest, also describing the vehicle involved as a 'vehicle-borne IED.' Investigators revealed that the slow-moving Hyundai i20, which had changed hands several times and was modified with a CNG tank, exploded at a traffic signal on November 10, killing 11 people. Forensic analysis confirmed that Nabi was behind the wheel when the car exploded. The Delhi Police Special Cell has registered a separate case to examine the larger conspiracy, including whether explosives were sourced and vehicles procured to execute a suicide attack modelled on the 2019 Pulwama bombing.
