The Archeological Survey of India (ASI) has announced the reopening of the Red Fort premises, just days after a deadly blast near the monument claimed at least 10 lives and injured several others. The blast occurred on Monday near Gate 1 of the Lal Quila metro station, forcing a five-day closure of the site. The Red Fort will now reopen to the public from November 16, following a decision made by the ASI. This move comes as a relief to locals and tourists alike, who were unable to visit the historic site due to the ongoing investigation and security measures. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has also reopened gates 2 and 3 of the Lal Quila metro station, allowing partial access to commuters. The DMRC made the announcement on social media, stating that the move was made to restore access that had been suspended in the aftermath of the blast. An investigation into the blast is ongoing, with police seeking to identify those responsible for the attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has joined the probe, which has led to the detention of several suspects, including doctors associated with Al-Falah University in Faridabad. The blast, which occurred at 6:52 pm on Monday, also caused significant damage to nearby vehicles, including cars, e-rickshaws, and a DTC bus. Investigators are working to piece together the events leading up to the blast, which is believed to be part of a larger 'terror module' planned across four Indian cities.
