US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has commended India's measured and professional handling of the Delhi blast investigation. Speaking at the G7 foreign ministers' meeting in Canada, Rubio stated that the Indian authorities were efficiently managing the probe, making it unnecessary for the US to intervene. Rubio made the remarks after meeting with India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. He acknowledged that the US had offered aid in the investigation but emphasized that India's security agencies were capable of handling it independently. Rubio described the blast as a "clearly terrorist attack" involving a car loaded with explosives that killed numerous people. The blast near Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station on November 10 claimed the lives of at least 10 people and left several others injured. The incident has raised concerns about potential India-Pakistan tensions, following a recent suicide bombing in Islamabad that killed 12 people. Rubio noted that the US was aware of the potential for renewed tensions but praised India's approach as measured and commendable. The US Embassy in New Delhi also expressed support for the victims of the blast, wishing a swift recovery to those who were injured. India has dismissed Pakistan's accusations of involvement in the Islamabad attack as baseless, and Rubio's remarks reflect the US's confidence in India's ability to handle the situation professionally.
