The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has declared that the landslide victory of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in neighboring Bihar will have no impact on next year's assembly elections in West Bengal. TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh stated that the party will win over 250 seats, securing a fourth consecutive term under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee. Ghosh emphasized that the factors driving the TMC's success in Bengal are development, unity, harmony, rights, and self-respect. He criticized the Congress for failing to effectively oppose the BJP, claiming that this trend has been consistently demonstrated. The TMC leader also expressed concerns about potential conspiracies by the BJP and the Election Commission (ECI) in West Bengal, particularly regarding the State Investment and Revenue (SIR) scheme. Ghosh assured that the party will continue to reach out to the public and thwart the BJP's alleged plans. In a veiled jab at the BJP, Ghosh stated that intimidating Bengal with examples from other states will not win the hearts of the people. He pointed out that several states, including Bihar, have adopted Mamata Banerjee's model of development, which has earned her the people's trust in West Bengal, regardless of the season.
