TN Governor Denies Delaying Assembly Bills, Claims 81% Clearance Rate

Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi has refuted allegations of delaying the clearance of Assembly bills. According to Raj Bhavan, 81% of the bills passed by the State Assembly have been assented to by the Governor. The official records show that 95 bills were given the nod within three months. The remaining bills were either returned to the Assembly for re-passing or were withheld due to concerns about their compliance with the University Grants Commission regulations. The Governor's office has clarified that all decisions were made in accordance with the Constitution and with the utmost sincerity, transparency, and respect for democratic processes. Governor Ravi has been credited with supporting various initiatives that promote Tamil heritage, art, and literature, and has been working to uphold the rule of law and protect the interests of the people of Tamil Nadu.
