TN Raj Bhavan Denies Delaying Assembly Bills, Assents to 81% of Passed Bills

Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan has refuted allegations of delaying the clearance of Assembly bills, stating that 81% of the bills have been assented to by Governor R N Ravi. The Raj Bhavan's official records show that out of the total bills received as of October 31, 81% have been given the nod, with 95 of these being cleared within three months. The remaining bills have been reserved for the President's consideration, with 60% of these being recommended by the State Government. The Raj Bhavan emphasized that Governor Ravi has been diligent in examining each bill to uphold the rule of law and protect the interests of the people, acting strictly in accordance with the Constitution. The Governor has also been supportive of initiatives highlighting Tamil heritage and culture, and has been committed to working for the welfare of the people within the framework of the Constitution.
