Kolkata: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has issued a Request For Proposal (RFP) for the media rights of the 2025-26 Indian Super League (ISL) season, following a last-minute approval from 13 ISL clubs. The RFP was made possible after the clubs gave AIFF the green light, hours after the federation sent a letter explaining that it needed 15 days to be valid, as per its constitution. With the ISL season set to kick off on February 14, the bid submission deadline is February 1, and the bids will be opened on February 2. To be eligible, bidders must meet specific criteria, including submitting a deposit of Rs. 5 lakh, having a net worth of Rs. 10 crore, and a proven track record of broadcasting international sports events. The AIFF's move comes after ISL double winners Mohun Bagan Super Giant were not part of the letter approving the RFP.
