A Salute to Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhwal: A Hero and Inspiration
Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhwal, current president of the indigenous progressive Regional Alliance's selfless contribution to the Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Viveknagar has had a profound impact on the lives of its students.
His donation of approximately Rs. 2 crore in the late 1980s and early 1990s enabled the hostel to provide free food and lodging, thereby enhancing the academic performances of its students.
The author of this tribute, a former student of the vidyalaya, recalls Sir Bijoy Kumar's visit to the institution in the early 1990s. His lecture, delivered in the presence of Rev. Sumedhanandaji Maharaj, teachers, and students, left a lasting impression.
As Bijoy Kumar faces challenges with his health issues, the author acknowledges hrangkrawl’s contribution to the lives of indigenous population of the state Tripura, from fighting for the rights of the native people to continuing his work for the welfare of the society.
