Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar has been making headlines for its patriotism debate, but amidst its success, author Harinder Singh Sikka has expressed regret over appointing Meghna Gulzar as the director of his novel's film adaptation, Raazi. Sikka, who wrote Calling Sehmat, took to Twitter to share his disappointment, stating that Gulzar's 'ideological bias' diminished the true spirit of the protagonist. He also criticized Gulzar's handling of the Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw biopic, claiming that she 'twisted the story' to suit her agenda.

Sikka's comments come after a netizen claimed that Gulzar's movie was a 'dud' and that her leftist lens was evident in her storytelling. Sikka agreed, stating that the film missed out on the 'ugly Congress acts' of ill-treating the Field Marshal. He also revealed that he had been raising his objections since the day Raazi was released and had even shared documentary evidence with Gulzar.
