The highly anticipated teaser for Namit Malhotra's epic film, Ramayana Part One, has finally dropped, giving fans a glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama.
The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, boasts an impressive cast, including Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana.
With a reported combined production budget of ₹4000 crore, Ramayana is being billed as India's answer to Lord of the Rings and Avatar, and will be released in two parts.
The teaser, which was unveiled to a select audience in Los Angeles last week, has generated mixed reactions, with some praising the visuals and others criticizing the 'cartoonish VFX'.
Ramayana Part One is set to release in theatres in October 2026, ahead of Diwali, with Part 2 following in October 2027.
