Veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha has expressed his full support for his daughter Sonakshi Sinha's marriage to Zaheer Iqbal, calling them 'made for each other.'

The couple tied the knot in 2024 in an interfaith ceremony under the Special Marriage Act, a legal provision in India that allows individuals of different religions to marry without converting to the other's religion.

Shatrughan dismissed any concerns about the marriage, emphasizing his family's happiness and the couple's compatibility.

He noted that both Sonakshi and Zaheer are adults capable of making their own decisions and that they both seem 'made for each other.'

The couple first met in 2016 at a party hosted by Salman Khan and soon developed a strong friendship that grew into a romantic relationship over time.

They worked together in the 2022 film Double XL, where their on-screen chemistry mirrored their real-life comfort, and eventually got married in 2024 under the Special Marriage Act.
