Tripura's Largest Statue to be Unveiled in Khumulwng: A Tribute to Medieval Heroes

In a matter of days, the largest statue in Tripura will be unveiled in Khumulwng, paying tribute to two famous medieval generals, Rai Kwchak and Rai Kosom. According to Pragya Debbarma, the statue is a symbol of unity and pride, reflecting the state's rich history.
The medieval generals belonged to the Reang tribe and lived during the reign of Maharaja Dhanya Manikya, a time when different communities coexisted harmoniously. The statue aims to commemorate this era of unity and love, inspiring pride in the people of Tripura.
Located in Khumulwng, the statue will be a major attraction in the area, showcasing the patriotic spirit of the medieval heroes. The statue's design is inspired by the generals' statues at Rajbari, with facial features modeled after common people to add authenticity.
The unveiling of the statue is part of a broader development plan for the ADC area, which includes the inauguration of a park and the modernization of a museum. These initiatives aim to showcase the beauty of Khumulwng and attract visitors from across the state.
